For Muli inverter systems to update successfully the system must have internet connection throughout the update so all inverters can get updated.
If the inverters supply power to the Wi-Fi then there can be a break in connection during the update.
- Bypass the inverter and supply the Wi-Fi directly from Grid or alternative supply
- If grid is not available or unstable make use of a generator to power the Wi-Fi.
- if no generator is available and you have to power the internet connection from the inverter then please update inverters one by one.
- Turn off the Solar DC switches of all the inverters.
- Turn off all the LOAD port outputs off on the inverters so that they run isolated from each other.
- Make sure the generator has enough fuel to stay on for the duration of the update.
- Make sure the inverters have enough battery capacity to complete the update process.
- Request the firmware update on the Sunsynk Firmware update Whatsapp group shared by your supplier.
- Specify on the group that this is a parallel system and send all gateway and serial number of the parallel system together.
- Monitor the update by following the green circle in the top left corner of home screen.
- Wait for all updates to complete.
- Confirm that all the inverters of you parallel system now have the same firmware, both MCU and COMM must be the same.
- Factory reset and restart all the inverters.
- Setup the parallel communications for every individual machine again and verify all other settings.
- Startup and check that all the inverters in the system communicates in parallel again.
- Shut down all inverters.
- Connect LOAD port as before.
- Startup and do final testing.
