MCB - miniature circuit breaker - does not entirely protect form shock but does protect from overload .
RCD - miniature circuit breaker -protects people from shock but from overload .
RCBO - residual current circuit breaker with over current protection -will do both protect from shock and overload and is always recommended when available .
