Understanding the Power Flow

The power flow is the main overview showing you what is currently happening with your Sunsynk system.

Below you will see a description of the icons that may appear on your Power Flow display.

1. Pylon - This icon represents the grid, you will see power flowing towards it when you are exporting to the grid and power flowing from it when you are importing from the grid.
2. Generator - The generator will appear on your power flow if you have "Gen" enabled in your auxiliary settings. A generator is used in some cases when people don't have grid present.
3. Sunsynk Hybrid Inverter - This will always show right in the centre of your power flow, quite simply because the Sunsynk inverter is the heart and brains of your entire system. Everything everything generated or powered will come from or pass through your inverter.
4. House - This is showing your property / load power. This will show what your home is drawing through your Sunsynk system or direct from the grid.
5. Solar / PV - This shows you what you are currently generating from your solar panels in watts.
6. Battery - This shows you what is currently happening with your battery. It will display your SOC (State of charge) in a percentage format, this is so you can understand what percent of charge is currently in your battery. It also shows you how many watts are coming from or going to your battery when you are charging or discharging your battery.
7. Micro Inverter - The will only appear if you are using a micro inverter working alongside your Sunsynk Hybrid Inverter. The micro inverter will display how many watts is passing through it to your Sunsynk Hybrid Inverter.

The bulleted numbers that are next to the text above reference the numbers in the image below.

The below image is an example of what your power flow will show when your Sunsynk system is operational.

Below you can see there is currently 396W being generated by solar, 53W being generated by the solar attached to the micro inverter, 58W coming from the battery and nothing from the grid. All the power is being sent to the property to the property however some of this is being consumed to power the inverter.

Please note, at times the figures may not add up. The reason for this is when Sunsynk Connect reads the inverter parameters, it captures each of them individually milliseconds apart so at times, when then data is captured, one of the figures may change at the last second.
